Dear blessed friends,
I would like to express my gratitude in your joining us at the Pro life vigil last Saturday. It was a good turn out (pictures attached). Thank you specially to the kids who were there (good visual impact, yay!), the SFC, the Hold (mga artista!), the CFC and the Music ministry! The incorporation of music in our prayers by the music ministry was truly uplifting and provided a different facet to our voice of prayer.
As bro Sonny reported, there were women going to the clinic who turned around as soon as they came in. We take that as victory for the Lord. And we have faith that the Holy Spirit will continue the follow the people there that we prayed for - the workers, the women going for abortion, the mom, friends, boyfriend or husband who's accompanying them, so that their eyes be opened and their hearts be converted.
Thank you also for joining Richard and me as we celebrated our birthdays and shared the blessing of our home. It was truly heart warming to see my wonderful brothers and sisters all together sharing a nice relaxing afternoon with us. (read: busog!) (We seldom have party as big as that, we enjoyed it tremendously).
And thank you for your gifts- for that gourmet organic tea (enjoying it now), for the sturdy Le Crueset dish (will bake some frenchy food later...), the heart warming greetings and cards, and most especially, your gifts to Ancop. It reminded me of the need to do my own almsgiving, tsk tsk tsk!
Last Sunday during mass, I said to God, 'Yesterday was a long day, Lord, from morning till evening, but you know very well, Lord that I dedicated everything to you. I did all that for you". Then I got reminded of the discussion during the Bible study the night before. It was about the offering of Abel versus Cain. So I asked Him, "Lord, did my offer like Cain or Abel?". Then it dawned on me that the worth of offering and how God took it was not just because of the object itself, but also what was entirely in your heart. Going back to my question, was I an Abel or Cain? God knows!
God knows, brothers and sisters! You offered your sacrifice of prayer for the unborn and the lost and alms for the poor, from your heart. Be blessed!
Love always,
Clad
