Sept 28, 7PM to 9PM, MM
The CFC Orlando Music Ministry called for a practice in preparation for the St. Isaac Jogues Fall Festival on Oct. 20. Majority of the music ministry (Roland, Vicky, Lulu, Boots, Marietta, Agnes, Pacoy, Helen, Arsenia, Boots, Eve) were present. The practice started at 8PM due to unforeseen circumstances. They had a splendid practice that ended at 10PM.
Sept 29, 4AM, Win!
Was up early for personal reasons, to watch the elimination match between rival schools in the UAAP, Ateneo vs. La Salle. Both schools prayed and played hard for the win, and my alma mater, Ateneo, won in style. Yeah! One Big Fight! I did not finish live streaming of the Game as I had to fetch Bro Eric Villanueca, CFC USA National Director from the OIA.
Sept 29, 6:15AM, OIA
Was on twitter, pumping my fist as Ateneo clinched the win! Finally, I was able to welcome Bro Eric Villanueva to Orlando and brought him home for a change of clothes and a hearty breakfast. Bro Eric flew from Los Angeles, CA on Friday, 10PM, Sept 28 to Orlando 6AM Sept 29 to conduct the teaching at the MCGR assembly at Holy Redeemer Church in Kissimmee. He is leaving for Los Angeles, CA from Jacksonville, on Sept 30, 12:00 noon. Call that crazy for the Lord serving the CFC and ANCOP!
Sept 29, 9:00AM to 4:00PM, MCGR
Over 120 CFC leaders and elders gathered at the Holy Redeemer Church for the quarterly FLorida MCGR - Mission Core Gathering. Present from the elders were Bros Glen Santayana, Eric Villanueva, Roger Santos and Joe Duran, and the present and in-coming Area Governance Team (AGT). The Music Ministry of Lakeland led us in worship and Bro Eric Villanueva conducted the teaching - CFC as a gift where we need to pray, listen and experience; CFC as the church of the home and of the poor; where we have to obey and be a witness, and be committed to both the CFC and ANCOP - they go hand-in-hand. Very inspiring!
Bros Eric Villanueva, Joe Duran and Roger Santos all smiles in serving the community! |
Recognizing the problem of shepherding the Caribbean, Bro Joe Duran then challenged the attendees to take on a country of their choice to minister and shepherd. Financial assistance for travel expense could be expected. Was wondering if there were any who accepted the challenge. How about Orlando?
Orlando in the kitchen! |
The host city Orlando served lunch a little after 1PM and a few had to to wait for the "multiplication of the rice", which was OK as were all there to witness and to serve.
Visibly very busy attending to the food requirements were the elders and household heads of Orlando, woot, woot! CFC youth sold various kinds of delicacies to help raise funds for their trip to the 2013 CFC Youth conference.
Part of the MCGR crowd! |
Breakout session meetings were held by ministry. Expect more on this later!
The MCGR was formally closed at 3PM!
Sept 29, 8PM to Sept 30, 1:30AM, 10-miler
